From Super Singer, to being super in love
Aishwarya & Krishamurthy
At one point or the other, when we think about falling in love, we often wonder how breathtaking our story will be. Will it be dramatic and movie-like, or realistic and comforting, or idealistic and sweep one off their feet? Most of us don’t feel comfortable admitting that we do wonder, that these feelings manage to sneak up on us at the oddest moments, but if there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we all do go through it. And some people don't have to wonder because they are living it now. But there are a very few - a handful that hit the jackpot with their story being movie-like, comforting and romantic.
To the ones wondering, this story is for you. Because not only will it instill so much belief in the concept of love for you, but also it might just make you brave enough that you go out and find it for yourself. For them, I say, “And that, kids, is how Krishnamurthy met Aishwarya”.
I had the wonderful opportunity of listening to Krishnamurthy narrate their story and I can tell you it's as romantic as it can get in real life. The first words he uttered were, “Music bound us together”. I was hooked onto their story the moment he said those words. And it only gets better.
Krishnamurthy might be a little familiar, as he was the winner of the first ever conducted Star Vijay's Super Singer Junior. Aishwarya, an equally talented and professional Carnatic singer met Krishnamurthy at their college. The story starts when the college's Professional Relations Officer introduces Aishwarya and Krishnamurthy to perform a duet for the college's Women's Day event.
They agree, of course, and their epic story begins. Krishnamurthy hears Aishwarya sing for the first time and he's entranced. He positively says that he’s never been affected by one voice as much as hers. He listens to her sing and he’s almost certain that he could feel himself falling in love with her. Aishwarya spends more and more time with him on the pretense of practice and she's absolutely certain that she's falling for him. They gush on about how they could spend hours singing together, talking to each other and time just stood still for them.
While Krishnamurthy was much more sheepish than he cared to be, at the start of their relationship, it was Aishwarya who confessed her feelings to him first. While Krishnamurthy knew he was in love, he wanted to make sure that they were the love of each other's lives. And he did just that.
They both wanted to pursue higher studies and as fate would have it, they both got into the Universities that weren't too far apart. After six years of being head over heels in love, Krishnamurthy proposed and Aishwarya said yes, of course. These lovebirds with the voices of Nightingales decided to get back to the motherland to tie the knot.
The duo's Sangeet took place with no two feet standing still in the room. They danced, sang, laughed and cried. The affair was all kinds of fun, emotional and joyous. The couple looked various shades of lovely and loved.
The wedding was a gorgeous affair - just as beautiful as the couple. The wedding was in the style of a Telugu Iyengar Wedding in the breathtaking M.P.K. Mahal in Ashok Nagar. The much-revered rituals took place with the fun part of the evening following just right behind. The joyous occasion was celebrated with their families and friends unable to take their eyes off them. And we completely understand because we couldn't either.
